Update 4/10/22

I fiber glassed over the front clearance light openings and mounted turn signal lights. I finished welding the front tilt frame and applied epoxy chassis paint. I painted the mesh grills with satin black paint but I need to make brackets to attach them. I received a new windshield but I’m not going to install it until the car is painted. The windshield I got with the car is cracked but I carefully cleaned off the dirt and weld spatter with a razor blade and visibility is good apart from the large crack. The interior mirror is an LCD-display type which I mounted to the windshield but I need to install the rear facing roof camera and wiring. I installed new door poppers because the others were too weak. I ran lighting wires to the front corners but need to finish the WeatherPack connections.

About the lighting – I’ve tried many different headlight, taillight and clearance light options. I want to use something that looks period correct but I like the better light output of LED lights. But I’m not happy with the current headlights. I can’t find the original style Siem headlights and although 7″ lights are the right diameter, I need lights that have rear facing adjusters. A company called Teo Martin Motorsport used to sell original style clearance lights but they have been out of stock for several years. I’ve tried many different styles trying to find something the resembles the original clearance lights but the ones below look best of the half dozen sets I purchased.
