Update 3/31/14

I painted the dashboard with Eastwood crackle finish black paint. I really like the finish and I hope when it fully cures that it is tough and scratch resistant. I applied two heavy coats as directed then used a hair dryer to create the crackle finish. The paint dries from the outside and even though it was dry to the touch by the next day it was soft underneath. One can did the whole dashboard. Update 3/20/14

It’s been a month since I worked on the Lancia because several other issues took priority but I accomplished a few things this week. I cut sheet metal pieces to fill in the body behind the driver’s head and the same on the passenger side. I removed the windshield to allow access to chassis bracing in the lower dashboard area and then fully welded some of the tubes that were only tack welded.
