I welded a tube to the dash bar and the Speedway column slips inside. The tube has a slot and pinch bolt to secure the column. I installed the heater box—I need the defroster and heat for when I take the car on the street. I’ll weld some metal to the top of the center tunnel which is thick enough to secure the shifter box. The dash is wedged in place because I still need to weld the brackets on either end to the roll hoop. The last picture shows where the shifter cables pass through the rear firewall. The cables are about 24″ too long so I’ll need to order replacements.
