Update 8/6/13

I stripped all the parts off the front of the chassis so I can prime and paint forward of the passenger compartment. As you can see below, before painting I need to do final welding, cap several open tubes and do some sheet metal work where I had to cut into the inner fenders for the larger diameter tires. I am installing subframe connectors to tie the lower part of the front frame to the lower part of the rear frame so that they don’t spread apart under bending load. Update 8/5/13

I modified the upper and lower radiator supports so that they clear the tilt hood mechanism. I started taking all the removable parts off the front of the chassis so I can prime and paint forward of the passenger compartment. There are a lot of places where I need to fully weld joints and do a little sheet metal work but all the major assemblies are mounted—brake booster, brake and clutch master cylinders, radiator, battery, fuel tank and steering.
